Research Internship Scholarship – Summer 2026

The Chair is pleased to announce the launch an internship scholarship for graduate students (Master’s or doctoral students).
A scolarship will be awarded for one internship completed at the following semester:
- Summer 2026
The winner will be determined by drawing from among the eligible applications received. However, priority will be given to students who have not yet benefited from this scholarship.
Objectives of the scholarship
This scholarship aims to :
- Encourage collaboration between Chair members to stimulate the sharing of expertise.
- Foster the development of diversified methodological and theoretical skills by exposing students to approaches that complement their memoir, essay or thesis.
- Promote intellectual openness and interdisciplinarity, enabling students to explore new themes and frameworks within the Chair.
- To support the training of committed, autonomous and polyvalent students, capable of navigating in a variety of research environments.
Eligibility criteria
- Be enrolled in a graduate program.
- Carry out a research internship supervised by a professor who is a member1 of the Chair, other than the person supervising (or co-supervising) the memoir, thesis or dissertation; this person must also be a member1 of the Chair.
- This internship must be credited as part of the student’s program of study.
Amount and duration
- $500 for one internship semester
- A person whose internship spans several semesters (e.g. 6-credit internship for a continuous fall and winter internship) can enter the competition.
Requirements after the internship to receive the scholarship
- Submit a summary of your internship project2 (written format, approx. one page).
- Send the transcript confirming successful completion of the course.

- You will be asked to submit the name and acronym of the course/internship, the name and e-mail address of your principal research supervisor (e.g. memoir, essay or thesis), the name and e-mail address of the professor supervising the internship, and the name of your program of study, department and university.
Submit a description of approximately one page including:
- A description of the research work to be carried out during the internship.
- The link with at least one of the Chair’s axes.
- What this internship will allow to develop or explore beyond the work done for the memoir, essay or thesis.

Success Support Scholarship – Winter 2026
Graduate students (master’s or doctoral) and members of the chair[1] are invited to apply for this scholarship if their research project (master’s dissertation, doctoral essay or thesis) is in line with one of the Chair’s two axes.

Objectives of the scholarship
- Recognize students’ commitment to promoting well-being.
- Promote students’ success by enabling them to devote more time to their research project.
- Position students to obtain other grants during their studies or research careers.
Amount and duration
- Amount : $1000
- Duration : 1 year
Eligibility criteria
- Be studying in a master’s or doctoral program with a significant research component (master’s dissertation, doctoral essay or thesis).
- Be a member of the Chair or be supervised in their research by a professor who is a member of the Chair.
- The application for the Success Support Scolarship must be submitted before the initial submission of the research work (master’s dissertation, doctoral essay or thesis).
- Students who receive funding from a major granting organization (e.g., SSHRC, CIHR, FRQ) or who have received the Chair’s Success Support Grant in the past may apply, but priority will be given to applicants without funding.

- A brief description of your research project (specify whether it is a master’s dissertation, doctoral essay or thesis). Explain (1) how it relates to at least one of the Chair’s axes and (2) what potential contribution the project will make to promoting the well-being of students, during or after their studies. Maximum 400 words.
- A brief description of current or recent personal involvement in the promotion of well-being, whether in a school setting or more broadly (e.g. community settings, populations of all ages). Indicate the approximate number of hours involved and the period covered. Maximum 250 words.
